Privacy Policy

Pyrra is an AI speaking coach for iPhone made by Indie Goodies LLC ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information Pyrra uses, why, and the choices you have. We keep it short and plain on purpose.

The short version

• Your audio and video recordings stay on your iPhone. We never upload them.
• To give you feedback, the text of what you said (your transcript) and your scores are processed by our server and our AI provider.
• We never sell your data or use your recordings for advertising.
• You can delete your recordings or your whole account at any time in Settings.

Information we use

Recordings. When you practice, Pyrra records your voice (and video if you turn on the camera). Recordings are saved only on your device so you can replay them.

Transcripts and scores. Your speech is converted to text using Apple's speech recognition, on your device when supported. Pyrra measures your delivery (pace, filler words, pauses, intonation and more). To write your AI coach notes, your transcript and delivery scores are sent securely to our server and to OpenAI. Under OpenAI's API policy, this data is not used to train their models.

Account. If you sign in with Apple, Google or email, we store your account ID, email address and the name you choose. When signed in, your practice history (transcripts, scores and coach notes, but not recordings) is backed up so you can restore it on a new device.

Friend Streaks. If you use Friend Streaks, friends you connect with can see your public profile: name, avatar, country, speaking rank, XP and streak. Only people who have your friend code or invite link can add you.

Notifications. If you allow notifications, we store a push token to send reminders, nudges and cheers from friends.

Usage and purchases. We collect anonymous usage events (for example, which features are used) to improve the app, and purchase status to unlock Pyrra Pro. We use Meta's SDK to measure whether our ads lead to installs and subscriptions.

• Google Firebase: sign-in, cloud backup, Friend Streaks and notifications
• RevenueCat: subscriptions and purchases
• Mixpanel: anonymous app usage analytics
• Meta: measuring how our ads perform

How long we keep it

Recordings stay on your device until you delete them or the app. Account data and backups are kept until you delete your account. Deleting your account in Settings removes your account, backups, public profile and Friend Streaks from our servers.

Your choices

• Delete all recordings: Settings → Data → Delete all recordings.
• Delete your account and its data: Settings → Data → Delete account.
• Turn off notifications any time in iOS Settings.
• Use Pyrra without an account; Friend Streaks and backup need one.

Security

Data is sent over encrypted connections and stored with providers that follow industry security practices. No method is 100% secure, but we work hard to protect your information.

Children

Pyrra is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes

If we update this policy, we will post the new version on this page and change the date above.
